Waynetown – Mrs. Mildred Simpson, 79 of Waynetown died at 2:15 a.m. Sunday in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville where she was admitted Saturday night. She was born June 9, 1910 at Fincastle a daughter of Albert and Nettie Gough Underwood. On June 17, 1936 she married JC Simpson at Crawfordsville.  Mrs. Simpson spent all her married life in Waynetown. She was educated in Putnam County schools. Survivors include her husband; a son, William E of Indianapolis; a daughter Mrs. Janet Gaskill of Waynetown; two brothers, Charles and Lowell, both of Crawfordsville; two sisters, Mrs. Evelyn Childress of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Mary Richardson of New Albany and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in Servies-Thomas Funeral Home here with Rev. Rob James officiating.  Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
